Looking for an exciting part-time job?

Teach on the beach!

TCX is currently looking for a few good part-time educators for the spring and into the summer. These program specialists will lead middle and high school students through workshops that let the students explore the unique environment found here on Catalina Island.  Each workshop focuses on a specific environmental theme, like marine biology, island ecology and geology, or animal adaptations, and includes activities like kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, tide pooling, and other activities (don’t worry, we train you on all of it!).  Educational programs last 3-5 days at a time and specialists are brought out with the groups as needed.

Having done this job myself for a few years now, I know what a great opportunity it is.  For someone like me, who loves being outside, teaching, working with kids, and constantly discovering new things about the island,  I understand why so many people ask me, “And you get paid for this??”  I count myself lucky to have a job that is not only fun but important for young students, and I am looking forward to meeting some new employees who feel the same way!

If you or someone you know is interested in joining our team, please check out the link below to see a more detailed job description.
